White Bread

White Bread

2 cups warm water
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 TBL yeast or one package
1 1/2 tspn salt
1/4 cup oil
5-6 cups flour

Dissolve sugar in warm water then add yeast. Allow to proof. Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl and cover and let rise until double in size. Punch down and shape into 2 loaves. Let rise again and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes
