Apple Crisp

4-5 apples peeled cored and sliced
1/4 cup sugar (or more if you have tart apples)
2 tsp cinnamon (more or less depending on what you like)
1/2 stick butter

Streusel Topping:

1 cup flour
1 cup Oats (whole oats work better but you can use quick)
3/4 cup butter (cold)
3/4 cup brown sugar

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples in a 9x13 pan.  Slice butter into pats and evenly put over apples.

Streusel: mix all ingredients together until crumbly.  I use my mixer but you can you a tool to "cut" in the butter.  Sprinkle over the apples.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes until topping is crisp and apples are done.

Syndy's commentary:  I made this the same way using pears.  I had to cook it a lot longer for the pears because they take longer to cook than apples.  Next time I will precook the pears a little.  SOOOO YUMMY!
